Far more valuable than any lessons I can imagine!
" A couple things I really like about Moves and Patterns is that it has very deliberate leads and preparatory signals that enable me to use all of the moves with new partners, and also I don’t know if it’s a regional thing but nearly half the moves taught in your material are new to the people in my area which makes me look very unique among everyone else. I’d tell others that it’s a good idea to buy the Moves and Patterns set in sequence of 1-8 because even if they know some or most of the moves in any given lesson it is important to completely cover all the material as each lesson from one DVD to the next builds on each other.

The content and value of your Moves and Patterns lesson (as with all your dance instruction videos I have) are far more valuable than any lessons I can imagine financially  because I never get left behind and have to keep paying again and again, I just hit the rewind button.  In terms of content, I have yet to find an instructor that is in depth as you with everything from connection points, to footwork, to posture, and communication skills.  You have even breached the void of not physically being here by giving me an excellent review of my youtube dance video I had you watch which was broken down with suggestions every so many seconds."

One of the very best things I ever did!
"Now, I can talk about the Moves and Patterns.  The basics you gave me were so solid, that it has been very easy to add another item to my dancing menu.  Ideally, I would like my girlfriend to watch the DVDs with me to understand my signals, but it has been fairly easy to say, "Ok, this is the move I'm going to add tonight."  I show her 30 minutes before we go out and we're throwing it in cleanly after the third try.  When I took a 2 step class with my mom (a country 2 stepper of 10 years), there is limited number of things they can fit in a short time.  The 45 minute lesson is comprised of showing a full pattern by the end of it.  But I was confused by the end, how to prep two of the moves and which wall to face.  I understand they want to fit in enough cool stuff in a lesson everyone came out for, but we were given a pattern to surgically pick a part the moves from.  You give me a list of moves in pieces and let me experiment in putting them together, at my pace.

     I danced with my mom later that night during country 2 step.  She was shocked how clean my steps were.  When I first told her about your DVDs before, she thought they would be a poor man's private lesson.  She was thoroughly impressed.  My favorite part is that, my mom has forgotten a lot since she is a little out of practice.  Unlike her lessons, I always have a reference like a textbook on my book shelf.  Last week I wanted to see the subtleties between half turns and entering promenade.  I had no shame in comparing one of the first things you taught with the more advanced.  And I can skip back and forth wherever I please.

     That is the biggest point I can make.  Because quick quick slow slow is a very consistent in 2 step. It is very easy to add a move here and add a move there.  When you break down the moves individually, you show where to connect them.  So adding moves comes quicker and quicker because you see the similarities here and there.  If I ever stop 2 stepping for a long period of time, I can always go back to even the basics. If I forget an intermediate move in the future, I don't have to find one of the resident experts and bug him for a quick explanation.  Your system is very easy now to compile.  There is nothing like teaching good habits instead of breaking bad ones.  I have been able to impress veterans of 2 step since you have brought me to this level in less than 3 months!"

Great teaching tool!
"So I purchased your 2-Step Moves & Patterns DVDs to pick up some new moves as I have time and want to put together my own style.  I find that I can watch the DVD a few times and go through the moves in my kitchen and then work them in one at a time at the dance club.  I'm about half way through and tend to pick and choose what I like.  My system seems to work well for my situation.  I like your teaching style and the way the DVDs are laid out with the Introduction and Bonus Material at the end.  I'd probably have a better feel for the whole program after I get through all 10 DVDs, but my initial reaction is that it is a great teaching tool."

New 2-Step Series - Intermediate & Advanced
" My wife and I are really enjoying these DVDs.  We met on the dance floor 30 yrs ago while in college but had not gone dancing very often since then.  We had purchased the country western sampler, beginner swing, and 2 step basics a few months back as more of a refresher.  We went through those fairly quick and learned some basic stuff we had never really done right.  We wanted to learn more moves to expand our fun and learn quicker.  We also had to keep up with others on the dance floor...

We have gone dancing at least once a month for over the past year and we are really enjoying it.  But we needed to expand our dancing ability and moves and your DVDs have been a big help.  We have completed several volumes of the moves and patterns set and also the Swing Intermediate we also had ordered.  We try to become comfortable with about a volume or two of moves by first practicing on our back porch with what we learned and then dancing for real at least once to gain confidence before learning something new. This has worked out well.  So we will probably go at a pace of one or two volumes a month.

What we like about the DVDs is the breakdown of the steps and the opportunity to try it and then come back and review if we are not picking it up.  Being able to see and describe the footwork is very helpful.  We also can learn at our own pace and take opportunities to learn when we can by simply popping in a DVD.  Thanks for developing these DVDs. We have recommended them to others!"

Great production value!
"I wanted to say that I really like the DVDs.  I have gone thru 4 of the moves and patterns DVDs and also done one of the Advanced moves and patterns discs.  I think the videos are done well and have a great production value! There are a few places to country dance out here in Omaha.  And they play a lot of 2-step and triple-step songs as well has have some simple dance lessons early in the evening.  They also do line dances and Stationary cha-cha is always fun.  I purchased these DVDs because I figured I could learn a lot of different moves on my own time for a decent price.  I have also looked at private lessons but they cost anywhere from 35-50 dollars. Overall I like these patterns and think they will add a lot to my dancing palate!  I hope that you will come out with more Advanced 2-Step Patterns DVD’s. I would also be interested in a Cha-Cha Patterns set!  Thanks again."
