What's my candid take on Party Line Dances?

How many times have you or one of your friends said "I wish I knew that dance" only to sit and watch others dance and have fun? I put this DVD together with two intents: 1) to teach some fun dances that you'll find all over the world and 2) to provide a 'crash course' of sorts for people who wanted to learn a few dances for a particular event so they could fit in and have fun with their friends.

As it turns out, this DVD has helped more people than I ever imagined it would. Parents that use it with their kids. School teachers that use it in their classes. Activity directors that use it in their rec centers. Groups of ladies that all learn together for a fun night out. We've received 10 times the amount of praise than what's listed and we love it.

The way this DVD works is a little different than Line Dance 101. In Line Dance 101, the focus was on learning individual steps (30 or so), and then putting them together to form dances (a great way for absolute beginners to become comfortable very quickly). In this DVD, it's more of the traditional "focus on the dance" approach. This way, you could learn a single dance and not get exposed to all the formal terminology or the fundamentals that would help you for the long-term. It's a different approach, but also very effective and one that moves a bit faster than Line Dance 101.

Oh, one thing I want to mention. Over the years I've had a few (and I mean less than would fill up one hand) people who bought this DVD thinking they were getting people line dancing at a party. Folks, if you read any of the descriptions at all, you should know that's not what this is. It's instruction. It's designed to transfer my knowledge to you so you can look good... and it works!

Final thoughts - go through this DVD several times and learn the variations. Arm yourself with several variations you could use and then go out and try them.
