The true reflection of one’s self

Fault vs Responsibility Shawn Trautman Lessons in Leadership
To see the true reflection of one’s self (oneself?), one must have a calmness equal to that in nature.

Only when the conditions are right can we clearly see a mirrored image of the true reality to be seen.

It’s these truths that bring inner peace and, often, change, if that’s what you desire.

Anxiety, worries, fears, regrets, chaos, etc. are like wind.

Each one ripples the waters and make it difficult to see and think clearly.

It’s up to each of us to find our inner calmness so we can truly reflect on our lives.

Are we living with purpose or are we just living?

Are we treating others how we believe they should be treated?

Why are we doing whatever it is we’re doing?

Are we learning & stretching ourselves as humans?

You’ve made mistakes? It’s okay. We all have.

It’s never too late to make changes for the better.

And, we’re all at different places in our lives, so don’t compare yours to others.

Do the best you can do for you… but the key word is DO. Don’t just accept your life as it is and think you have no choices.

It can always get better, and there will always be people who can learn something from you.

We live. We learn. We grow. We adjust. We shift. We move.

But, most of all, we are not who we once were. We can all strive for greatness, whatever that means for each of us.

And, it’s never too late.

It starts with a mind calm enough to see a reflection that’s truly representative of reality.

Your reality.

You want it to look different, change the landscape.

Joanna and I had a lengthy talk about this a couple of months ago. We cleared space, made time, and dug deep.

For the following 4 weeks I freed up as much time as I could for her and allowed her to explore her thoughts and aspirations.

It opened up a whole new world of understanding for her and she’s on a new mission. And I’m 100% on board.

Suffice it to say it’s about truly helping people on a larger scale. More on what she’s working on soon.

That said, it took complete calmness and a willingness to accept the reflection that opened her up to change. All she had to do from there was muster up a bit of courage & just like that, the ball started rolling.

I’ve Never Been to a Hooters

When most people think of branding, they think of colors and logos. Branding is the core essence of your existence. It’s what your brand represents. It’s what your brand conveys. It’s the imagination your brand ignites. It’s the experience and feelings and atmosphere. It’s the floors, tables, dust, and lighting. It’s the menu & word choices, the food, the speed, and the smile that comes with it. It’s the bathrooms and the soap and the garbage and the type of toilet paper. It’s the system that works to remind you that you’re there for a reason. It’s what gets you to talk about it over and over and over.
