What do you learn from others?

What do you learn from others?

In other words, where do you get your stories?

Stories that are worth telling others.

Meaningful encounters are so much more than small talk.

Talk. Ask questions. Real questions. Not “how’s it going?” with no real intent to find out.

Go beyond the norm. You might be the only person that actually talks to that cashier, or that person at the store, or that person walking down the sidewalk.

Learn something interesting about them.

How do you treat the people you’re allowed to mistreat? Sure, you can say what you want to most people and it won’t affect you negatively, but it also won’t affect you positively.

You might end up as someone’s story today. Make the story a good one.

It’s the menu & word choices, the food, the speed, and the smile that comes with it. It’s the bathrooms and the soap and the garbage and the type of toilet paper. It’s the system that works to remind you that you’re there for a reason. It’s what gets you to talk about it over and over and over.
